| How much credit can I have? |
- Your ability to make the credit repayments on the due dates is the most important factor in our setting of your credit limit. Your credit limit will be periodically reviewed.
- A new customer's first account is restricted to a maximum of £200 (excluding the cost of interest). An application for an additional account will only be considered 16 weeks after the date of the first account.
- An existing customer may have multiple accounts providing their totals remain within their overall credit limit.
What happens when you review my account? | - We will check that payments have been made regularly and that your account is up to date. Your credit limit will be periodically reviewed.
- If you are seeking an increase in borrowing, then we will need to re-verify that you can afford the extra credit.
Can I still get credit if I have defaults or county court judgements? | - A default or county court judgement may not prevent our granting you credit but you will .need to explain its circumstances.
What happens if I miss a payment? | - You will be expected to bring your account(s) up to date as quickly as possible.
- If this would appear to be impossible, then you will need to agree with your agent revised repayment arrangements. Providing you keep to the revised arrangements, no additional interest is charged. Unforseen changes in your circumstances will be considered sympathetically.
What should I do if the agent fails to call? | - It is your responsibility to ensure that we receive your repayments, so if your agent fails to call or you happen to be out when (s)he calls, you should either post you payment to the office or pay at the office.
What happens if my account goes into arrears? | - You will be encouraged to bring your account up to date as quickly as possible.
(See What happens if I miss a payment?) - A persistent state of arrears will adversely affect your future credit limit.
- If you cease making payments, then we will consider seeking the legal recovery of the debts together with our costs and default interest. We will also record a default with our credit reference agency to warn other credit providers.
What happens if I settle my account early? | - You may be entitled to a rebate of some of the interest you have paid. The rebate will automatically be paid to you and it will exceed you statutory entitlement.
I want to keep my account private - how can you help me to do this? | - All our dealings are conducted both confidentially and sensitively. Our agents will call at mutually convenient times.
- For added confidentiality, you can post your payment to us, you can pay at our offices or you can setup a standing order. The choice is yours but missed payments will result in a home visit and/or correspondence.
